19 of Daniil Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been earned on hard surfaces
A revitalized Medvedev claimed his maiden trophy for 882 days with victory over opponent Moutet in the competition championship match.
Medvedev, a ex- world number one, has endured a challenging period, winning just one win at the big events and suffering a meltdown at the US Open.
Medvedev's varied form on the professional circuit - and issues with his serve in particular - caused him dropping out of the world's top 10 and eventually splitting with long-time coach Cervara.
Currently collaborating with Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently improved in the last few weeks - peaking in a hard-fought competitive win over opponent Corentin Moutet.
This represents the player's first title since the Italian tournament and maiden on a hard court after spring of that year.
Success also means the Russian has secured 21 championships at 21 various events.
"For the first time I have attended a event with my two daughters simultaneously, so to secure a trophy is particularly special," stated ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in dedication of my younger daughter her name, because the initial championship I achieved when my first daughter her name was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his previous six championship matches, including in Halle previously this season.
His defensive approach and regular outbursts on court had led observers to doubt if his skill to perform at the top level was over.
But the athlete has altered his approach in recent weeks, attempting to approach the net and compete assertively, reinforced by an improved service.
He fought back from a deficit in the opening set against the difficult Frenchman, winning four of the final five points to take the lead.
Both players exchanged breaks in the second set before Moutet, attempting for his maiden tour victory, gained dominance to push for a decider.
The opponent saved four initial break points in a close deciding set before Medvedev won the break to 15 to serve for the match.
Appropriately, the winner clinched victory with a point at the net, with the Frenchman unable to handle a shot after a lengthy match.
